2008 Model T Centennial

The general meeting of the Piquette Ts on August 23rd was well attended with over 20 members present.  For those of you who were unable to be there we wanted to let you know  the members of the club decided that the Piquette Ts will host the 2008 Model T centennial event as a regional MTFCI tour.  A planning committee was formed and it includes Wade Leonard, John Forster, Jerry Van, Mike Skinner, Randy Mason, Karen & Tom Mullin, and Peter Nikolajevs.  The  committee will be meeting on the 13th of September to map out the initial framework of the event so that it can be presented to the MTFCI board for approval.  We will then ask other clubs if they would like to help support this tremendous event.  While the details have not been formalized, early indications show that the event will be held in September and be based in Ypsilanti.  This will give us perfect touring weather and an opportunity to visit the Piquette Plant as well as enjoy the more rural areas of Michigan.  Your input and support will be crucial to the event's success and if you have any suggestions, ideas, or questions please send them to 08event@PiquetteTs.org.
